Originally from Cincinnati, Courtney Popp is a professional musician now residing in the Cleveland area. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Music Education from Baldwin Wallace University and is now the choral director at Learwood Middle School in Avon Lake, OH. There she directs six choirs consisting of seventh and eighth graders. She teaches private lessons in voice, beginning piano, and music theory. She also has taught a variety of music camps through Baldwin Wallace’s Community Arts School. Additionally, she serves as the Chancel Choir director at the United Methodist Church of Berea.
As a singer, Courtney sings for several professional choirs in the Cleveland area. She sings with Quire Cleveland, Trinity Cathedral’s Chamber Singers, and Baldwin Wallace Voices (BWV), a professional group that performs annually at Baldwin Wallace University’s Bach Festival. She has previously performed in Princeton, NJ and New York City with the Westminster Summer Choral Festival.
Outside of singing and directing, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with loved ones.
