The Eight Grade Symphonic Choir is the largest of the Learwood Choirs totaling around 200 members each year. The symphonic choir rehearses in six different sections during the school day and combines for rehearsals and concerts. The symphonic choir always ends their winter concert with carol of the bells and they perform with Learwood Choirs Alumni. The symphonic choir has premiered many new works by commissioned composers. In 2016, composer and conductor Philip Silvey wrote a piece for the symphonic choir entitled “Amour Vincit Omnia.” Click here to see the published piece.
